The High Court has granted Dr. Rajan Mahtani the permission to go for a judicial review in respect of his suspicious arrest on June 2 2015. The incident began through an assault by the Ventriglia family, who at the moment are the minority shareholders of the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory. Soon after Dr. Mahtani had requested the High Court to wind up ZPC as the conflict of ownership remained unsolved, the Ventriglia used their money power to bribe officials and get Dr. Rajan Mahtani arrested in respect of a case which was previously declared as permanently closed in 2012.
The intent behind this shameful event was to ensure that Dr. Rajan Mahtani remains unavailable for the purpose of winding up ZPC. However, the conspirators failed to realize the power of Law in Africa as they had earlier dismissed an injunction which was placed by the High Court on April 02 2015.
The truth has finally surfaced as the people of Zambia and the rest of the world know that Dr. Rajan Mahtani had not forged any signatures and is a respected citizen of Zambia. The following is a copy of the High Court’s order which stands in favour of truth:
