The latest verdict from the Supreme Court Zambia in the Finance Bank Zambia versus Simaata Simaata case is known to all. The result of the case has put faith back on the law and government of Zambia. For the past many decades, it was seen that conspirators and law-breaks were able to dodge the law by taking advantage of its loopholes. For many years, conspirators were able to skip jail time or police actions with activities such as bribing or even influencing the law. These activities have always created roadblocks for honest businessmen like Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Unlike his conspirators, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was never found to be engaged in unlawful activities or conspirator campaigns to vilify his competitors. His only motive has been hard work and dedication towards its businesses as well as the people who run these businesses.
The latest judgement from Supreme Court Zambia proves that the nation is growing in terms of law and order and conspirators who are used to getting away, should take note of it. Finance Bank had launched a case against Simaata after the latter was found spreading wrongful information and negative rumors about the Bank. Simaata was briefly employed with Finance Bank. However, his engagements in unethical practices lead to his ouster from the bank. To protect the confidential work of the bank, Finance Bank made a deal with Simaata which the latter agreed wilfully, as he was also paid a good sum for that. However, the issue started when Simaata started giving testimonials at courts branding Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank as frauds, without any evidence. He also leaked critical statements at local newspaper. This resulted in loss of reputation for Finance Bank.
The matter was then taken to the Supreme Court by Finance Bank, with support from Dr. Rajan Mahtani. After looking into all documents and arguments from lawyers of both sides, SC announced Simaata guilty.
