The existing employees of the Zambezi Portland Cement factory have been promised with a 10% hike in their salary by the Ventriglia family. The news came shortly after the infamous case on May 1, 2015 where the employees were denied their monthly salary and were asked to carry on with their work.
In 2012, the Ventriglias were deported from Ndola on account of being a ‘threat to the prevailing’ peace of the nation. It was their wicked nature towards the employees, which made them a villain and finally the legal system had to deport them. However, when the deportation was lifted recently, they once again came back and made a ‘mafia style’ invasion in the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory and took over the management of the factory from the Finsbury Investments. The incident was soon followed by another chaos where the existing employees were not paid their salaries for the month of April.
After two back-to-back incidents of shame, the Ventriglia family quickly took an initiative to improve their reputation in the society by declaring that they would be offering a hike of 10% in salary of the employee. Nevertheless, nobody will ever believe their promise until and unless they find a valid salary slip in the hands of more than 500 employees in the factory.
