People who live their life with honesty and integrity do not fear of scrupulous elements. They are confident of their work and continue in spite of their conspirators. A similar situation has been dealt by Dr. Rajan Mahtani for many years. While he has seldom taken support from law and government to clear his name or take actions against these elements, the same cannot be said for the conspirators of Dr. Mahtani. These conspirators have always taken support from unlawful practices to prove their point. One such example is using hired media such as Zambia Reports for targeting the reputation of Dr. Mahtani and his companies.
Finance Bank Zambia & Simaata Simaata had entered into a settlement agreement few years back. As per the agreement, Simaata was barred from disclosing any of the statements or documents as described in the agreement. He was also paid a sum for signing the agreement. It is well known that Simaata is an open critic of Dr. Mahtani and all his companies. Despite the fact that he used to work with Finance Bank, he violated several terms of this agreement. He published several sensitive statements to a local newspaper that had the potential of reputational damage to Finance Bank. He also openly testified against Dr. Mahtani & Finance Bank at various courts. Not only that, he also made accusations that Finance Bank was dealing with money laundering. Safe to say, all these accusations were baseless without any evidences or factual data. As a result of his actions, Finance Bank was forced to take the matters to Supreme Court with support from Dr. Rajan Mahtani.
The court verdict was a game changer as the judgement went in support of Finance Bank and Simaata was charged guilty of all accusations by the bank. He will be paying a fine for his acts and will be monitored constantly by the law. This win by Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a great example of how patience is rewarding and sticking by the law is always the right thing if an individual or entity wants to win at the end.
