‘Game of Money’ in Zambia, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was harassed

A board member of the Zambezi Portland Cement factory. Bishop J Mambo has expressed grief in regard to the prevailing situation in Zambia. Three weeks ago, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was arrested on account of forging signatures to get the ownership of the ZPC and the same was appreciated by the police in Zambia. Though the fact remained conclusive that no such allegation can put on Dr. Rajan Mahtani as he had obtained a nolle prosequi on such matter, the legal system of Zambia was twisted and used as per the preference of the Italian Mafias though the ‘game of money’.

Dr. Mahtani

According to Mambo, after the deportation of the Ventriglia family in 2012, Dr. Mahtani was given back the possession of the ZPC. This incident was done by the ex-President of Zambia, Michael Sata and along with the consent of the all other ministers which also included the current President, Edgar Lungu. During that time, President Lungu was the Minister of Home Affairs and had signed the deportation of the Ventriglia family. However, soon after Edgar Lungu occupied the seat of the President, the deportation was lifted and the rest is now a part of an infamous history.

There have been frequent publications by the Zambia Media which has stated that President Edgar Lungu has become a puppet in the hands of Rupiah Banda and therefore, the level of corruption of Zambia is bound to increase.

It is evident from the incident that Dr. Rajan Mahtani had become the target of a conspiracy. The power of money has clearly won over truth and justice in Zambia. However, the most heart-breaking thing was lack of support from the President Edgar Lungu.
