Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist from Zambia, was recently conferred with one of the most prestigious corporate and leadership awards in Africa. This award ceremony is known as the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony and was a part of the annual Foreign Investment Network. It is an annual event organized by Forbes and FIN. The 2021 FIN event was held virtually as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. During the award ceremony, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was awarded the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award in 2021 for his contributions towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was also invited to the FIN event as an honorary speaker and discussed the significance of leadership in healthcare. Healthcare leadership has become one of the most critical aspects in this pandemic era and Dr. Mahtani rightly pointed out the need for dynamic and radical improvement within the African healthcare sector for ensuring such events can be monitored, evaluated, and controlled.
