Wise people always acknowledge the fact that an enemy’s enemy is a friend. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is now being defamed by people who have similar goals. On one hand we find that Zambia Reports is nonchalantly trying to write whatever the writers can think of to defame the former Finance Bank Chairman and on the other hand, people like Simataa are trying to settle scores where the world saw his dismissal from the Finance Bank Zambia.
When the Lusaka High Court passed a judgement in favour of Simataa Simataa, it was more than just happiness for the conspirators. Moreover, it was like a revival of the defamation campaign which was dying a slow death after receiving some serious feedback from the common men in Zambia. The two notorious entities- Zambia Reports and Simataa have joined hands with a view to have their urge to defame Dr. Mahtani satisfied. The venture came to limelight when Zambia Reports proudly published an article on its website and claimed that Dr. Rajan Mahtani tried to extort money from a ‘Financial Expert’.
Least concern was offered to the discussion which took place in the case and most of the article talked about how Dr. Rajan Mahtani used to trick people into legal bindings and later charged them heavily for violating the same. The intent of the author in the article is clear- defamation! There is hardly any matter that relates to the case which Simataa has won. On the other hand, there are people who still doubt the end decision as they are of the opinion that the decision was made on questionable grounds. So, is it something fishy that continues to haunt Zambia and its judicial system? Or is it that the people of Zambia are not educated enough to understand what Zambia Reports actually wants to convey? Either way, the scenario in Zambia looks gleam.
